More Success at the Business Networking Awards

Design Pit has a long standing association with the Business Networking Awards in Tamworth, Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield. Ever since winning Best Start Up Business at the inaugural ceremony in 2012, we have been serial finalists, runners up and winners every year since.

And 2018 was no different…

Finalists in two categories, Best Creative and Best Micro-Established Business. Creative Director Gareth and wife Sarah attended the ceremony at Drayton Manor Park in Staffordshire in April. As the names of the finalists were read out, it was clear that once again competition was fierce. Fortunately, when the highly commended companies were announced we heard our name twice! We had been highly commended in both categories and Gareth was thrilled, “It has been a tough year to date and we’d been working hard on client work without really focusing on winning awards. In previous years we’d had a bit more time available to get our response forms in and we’ve out a lot of effort in to getting ourselves into the final. This year, as I say has been tough for various reasons so to make the final was a nice surprise and to come in as highly commended in both categories is fantastic”.

Looking ahead to next year, Gareth has set his sights on more success at the popular awards ceremony, “Going forward I’d like to continue with our association with the awards. It would be great to go one better on both categories next year and maybe even see if we can get into a couple of other categories.

“It looks good on your website. An award win builds a bit of credibility in the eyes of clients, prospects and in suppliers. It’s also great for the team. They look at the trophies and certificates in the office and it fills them with pride, they’re all part of the success. And when we look to recruit, are you telling me that our next creative designer will be put off by seeing awards on our website?! It’s a win win on just about every level”.
