The Design Pit Team took some well earned time out recently and headed into Birmingham to take part in Room 13 at Escape Live. When we’re not designing logos, brochures, websites and various other graphics from our base here in Lichfield, we like to get out and enjoy new experiences and activities as a team. After a bite to eat in the Jewellery Quarter, we headed to Henrietta Street to the Escape Live studios to await our fate!
The Escape Live experience is an hour long challenge for participants to escape from a locked room. There are several themed rooms to choose from and we decided to go for Room 13, set in a hospital where a mad doctor has kidnapped a patient that he became infatuated with. It was our job to find the clues that the patient left behind in her room, rescue her and escape before the doctor returns! We had an hour to escape and guess what… we managed to escape with 10 minutes to spare! Our Gamesmaster Will said that he was very impressed to see us get out that quickly and that our teamwork was excellent!
“The Escape Live experience was really good! It was so much fun and we all worked together to find the clues and get out alive!” said designer Mary.
“It was great because we all contributed in different ways, we all discovered some clues. Great fun!” added Office Coordinator Sarah.
“So much fun! I was worried we might not get out at all but we did it with time to spare!” said designer Dan.
“I’d recommend Escape Live to any teams looking for something different to try out. A great night of problem solving and loads of fun!” added Creative Director Gareth.
